A regular-fit women's shirt in green with a diagonal neckline, in Block Printed Upcycled Cotton from Jaipur.
The neckline runs on a diagonal and gathers into soft scrunches, turning a classic shirt into something off-centre and sculptural. Tuck it into wide trousers or wear it loose over denim; it holds the look either way.
The fabric is Achara, the cotton cloth laid under block-printing tables. Over around a hundred printing runs it soaks up dye tests, colour marks and printers' fingerprints before it is thrown away. We use it as it is, with no patchwork and nothing added, so the marks on this shirt belong to this shirt alone.
