Tarisha Jain is the founder and creative director of Cee Jay, a contemporary fashion label built around one-of-a-kind garments made from aachara, an overlooked textile from India's block-printing industry.

Raised in Jaipur, Rajasthan, within a family of textile printers, Tarisha's relationship with fabric began long before studying fashion. Years spent around printing workshops shaped an instinctive understanding of how textiles are made, handled, repaired, and eventually discarded. It was this familiarity that led her to recognize the value of a material most people had stopped seeing.

After graduating from Parsons School of Design in New York, in 2026 Tarisha founded Cee Jay with a simple belief: that rarity can come from history rather than newness. Each garment begins with an existing textile, allowing its stains, wear, and markings to become part of the final piece rather than something to conceal.

Today, Cee Jay continues to redefine how overlooked materials are perceived, creating limited garments that exist at the intersection of luxury, culture, and individuality.
